Star Health launches home healthcare initiative; to cover 50 cities & towns in phase one
tar Health and Allied Insurance Company (Star Health Insurance) has expanded its services to include home healthcare services across more than 50 Indian cities. This initiative focuses on delivering healthcare solutions directly to customers’ homes, ensuring convenience and expedited claims settlement.
To provide in-home medical care services across India, Star Health Insurance has joined forces with Care24, Portea, CallHealth and Athulya Homecare. Star Health Insurance said its new offering is designed to make healthcare more accessible and affordable.
The company added that its new expanded offering will allow customers across the selected 50 cities to access treatment for a wide range of infectious conditions by contacting the company directly or using the Star Health mobile app. These conditions may include fever, urinary tract infections (UTIs), acute gastroenteritis and acute gastritis.
The collaboration with healthcare providers enables Star Health Insurance to offer a comprehensive range of services including elderly care, infant care, integrated health services, lab diagnostics, nursing, pharmacy services, physiotherapy, and primary and critical care.
Star Health Insurance noted that its home healthcare service is 100% cashless and accessible via a toll-free number. The service package covers professional and nursing fees, medications and lab tests, eliminating out-of-pocket expenses.
The company highlighted that due to rising healthcare costs, home healthcare services offer a convenient and cost-effective alternative to traditional hospital care.
